Charles Bridge, painted and etched
The bridge at night, after rain, under a full moon and in winter: oils and etchings by the gallery's artists, each one an original.
15 original works · Mikora, Slutsker, Zuzuk, Alexandrov
About the collection
Charles Bridge is the view everyone brings home from Prague. These are the versions worth keeping: oils by Mikhail Mikora, Michael Slutsker and Roman Zuzuk, and a shelf of etchings by Gennadij Alexandrov, who has drawn the bridge for more than twenty years from every side, with its towers and statues, a horse carriage, a clarinettist, even cats.
The oils are one of a kind. The etchings are signed, numbered impressions from the artist's own plates, which is why a real original can start at a few hundred crowns.
Most of them hang in the gallery at Michalská 11, a short walk from the bridge. Buy online with delivery included, or come and see them first.
