Sympathy 2 sets the same warm meeting on two chairs. A white-haired figure in yellow leans across to embrace a large white rooster with a red comb, both perched on dark chairs, cheek against feathers. Behind them, green star-shaped leaves float against a plain ochre ground. Roman Zuzuk worked this in encaustic on canvas in 2004, upright at 50 by 40 centimetres, the wax keeping the colours soft and matt.
