The door is set in a worn brick wall, and foliage spills down from above in yellows and greens, with a little pale blossom at the lower left. The light is warm and broken, falling in patches across the brick and the cat. The handling is thick and dabbed throughout, especially in the leaves, which gives the whole corner a still, sunlit, slightly overgrown feel.
