On a grey beach a young girl walks through the shallows holding a large pink umbrella that all but hides her body. Painted by Alexey Slusar in oil on canvas in 2022, the canvas is upright at 70 by 50 centimetres.

We see her from the side, fair hair down, in a pink top, her bare feet leaving prints in the wet sand. The umbrella is the centre of the picture, its panels marked with loose dabs of darker pink and brown. Behind her the flat sea and damp sand are painted in cool greens and greys, so the warm pink reads all the stronger against them.
