A small, intense oil on canvas where Roman Zuzuk works in hot, saturated colour. Two figures with masklike faces stand at the centre, one with a striped body, and a thin red dog or fox crosses in front of them. Round green trees and a glowing orange building fill the upper half, all against a clash of blue, purple and burning red. Evening Walk dates from 1999 and is just 26 by 26 centimetres. The paint is scrubbed and gestural, the drawing nearly abstract, and it reads more as mood and colour than as a clear scene.
