About the artwork

A figure stands waist-deep in water, long hair falling either side of a calm, frontal face, the lower body broken up by the ripples and reflections on the surface. Tall reeds rise behind in a band of dark blue. Alexandrov keeps the drawing bold and almost folk-like, with strong black outlines filled by blue and warm ochre. A colorized aquatint and etching, signed Voda and dated 2025. A small upright plate, about 10.3 by 12.7 centimetres.
