About the artwork

A seated female nude with a great dark mass of windblown hair, drawn entirely in tangled, scribbled line. She sits with one leg drawn up, hands resting on her knee, the whole figure built from restless overlapping strokes rather than smooth contour. This etching is square, 25.6 by 25.6 centimetres. Inscribed with the title and signed Alexandrov, numbered from a small edition.
