About the work

The same reclining nude plate as its companion, this time pulled in a soft wine-mauve. The pale contours of an arm, a bent leg and the line of a back rise out of a grainy, blotted ground, the figure half-dissolved into the texture. A second impression from the 2003 plate, pencil-signed Akt by Gennadij Alexandrov and numbered 11/100. About 9.8 by 16.5 cm.
