About the artwork

A mezzotint, and the medium suits it: deep, smoky darks with the light scraped back to a whisper. A nude woman is seen from behind, standing waist-deep in still water, her long hair falling down her back. Concentric ripples spread out around her, and a soft full moon glows in the dark sky at upper left. Gennadij Alexandrov pencil-signed it, numbered 15/70, dated 2021. Around 25 by 20 cm.
