A trumpet player seen in profile, leaning into the horn with real concentration. Mikora paints him largely in blues, the suit and shadows cool, the face and hands warmer, and lays it all over a collage of sheet music that surfaces around the head and shoulders. Touches of red and white break up the blue. The handling is loose and gestural, acrylic and collage on paper, dated 2024 at lower right. Upright and intimate in scale, it carries the same hushed, late-set feeling its title borrows from the jazz standard.
