About the work

A drypoint worked in warm sepia, its surface broken into rough panels like frames on a contact sheet. Inside each one a female nude takes a different pose, sitting, reclining, turning away, drawn with quick scratched lines that keep the energy of the first sketch. The whole sheet reads as one long study of the figure rather than a single portrait. It is a hand-pulled, numbered print by Gennadij Alexandrov.
