Whisper of the Wind sets a woman in a white dress at the top edge of a deep red poppy field, with a flat blue sky behind her. She wears a straw hat and holds a small bunch of red flowers, and her long hair and a thin trailing stem stream out sideways on the wind. Almost the entire lower half of the canvas is dense, granular red, painted by Dima Dmitriev in thick dabs, with the single pale figure perched where the flowers meet the sky. Oil on canvas, 2022, square at 60 by 60 centimetres.
