On a near-white ground, a wooden jumping platform rises out of pale water and a crowd of boys turns it into chaos. Some perch on top with arms raised, some run along the lower deck, and several are caught upside down in mid-dive, one already vanishing headfirst into the water with a small splash. They all wear dark trunks, their skin warm against the bleached background. The water's embrace, or Objetí vody, is an oil on canvas from 2024 by Dima Dmitriev, a wide format at 160 by 80 centimetres, and the empty pale space around the figures makes their tangle of motion stand out all the more.
