Pink and red mallow flowers stand in a white enamel jug with a wire handle, painted in oil on canvas. The blooms are open and ruffled, pink with a few deeper red ones low in the bunch, and thin green stems and buds spray up and out behind them. Mikora paints the jug simply, pale blue-white with a chipped, worn look, against a soft grey ground. Small and square at 40 by 40 centimetres, it is a plain, warm-hearted little still life.
