A long horizontal painting of a record shelf, oil on canvas. The spines of vinyl sleeves stand packed at either end in greys, reds and creams. In the centre, an album cover shows a dark figure, and beside it a black record lies flat with a pink-red label glowing at its centre. A brass trumpet rests across the front of the shelf. Mikora paints with a thick, scrubby touch that gives the whole shelf a worn, lived-in look. At 140 centimetres wide, a panoramic nod to a jazz collection.
