She is nude from the waist up, her long hair down her back, with a blue-and-orange striped towel wrapped loosely around her hips and trailing down one leg. Her bare feet press into a strip of green grass at the bottom edge.

Shulman builds the yellow ground in thick, textured strokes scratched through to flecks of violet, and paints the dark bicycle as a strong, near-flat silhouette. Summer Tales is oil on canvas from 2016, 70 by 100 centimetres, warm and sun-bleached.
