About the artwork

The equestrian statue of St George spearing the dragon, set against the Gothic tracery of a cathedral window behind it. Alexandrov prints it in dense black stipple so the rearing horse and rider stand out solid against the lacy stonework. The dragon writhes under the horse's hooves. Upright etching, about 14.5 by 20.5 centimetres. Inscribed Sv. Jiri, numbered 9/150 and signed Alexandrov 03.
