A red and dark fishing boat marked MPS-46 is moored at a jetty on the left, its reflection breaking up in the water below. Two white motor cruisers lie at anchor in the middle, with flashes of blue and red rigging, and a lone sailboat drifts off to the right. The water is calm and the whole scene is built up in broad, buttery knife-work, loosest of all in the rippling reflections. It is a wide canvas, 105 by 45 centimetres.
