A broad summer field of red poppies running back to a distant horizon. Mikora dots the foreground with bright red blooms among blue cornflowers and white daisies, the grass and seed heads brushed in loosely between them. Past the field, the land opens into pale green plains with a small line of trees, and above sits a wide blue sky streaked with long horizontal clouds. Painted in oil on canvas and large at 175 by 70 centimetres, it has the easy, sunlit feel of high summer.
