A bank of fruit trees in early blossom fills the foreground here, their pale flowers and fresh green catching the light. Look past them and the skyline gives the place away: the terracotta roofs of Malá Strana step up the hillside, and above them rise the Gothic spires of St Vitus Cathedral and Prague Castle. Slutsker keeps the orchard loose and dappled, almost abstract up close, then lets the castle settle crisply along the top of the canvas. Painted in oil on canvas in 2025, 95 by 65 centimetres, it is the familiar view from Petřín in spring, with the city tucked between the blossom and the cathedral.
