Pale pink peonies, loose and full-blown, gathered in a clear glass vase. Mikora paints them in oil on canvas with thick, feathery strokes, the petals nearly white with blushes of pink, set off by blue-green leaves and stems visible through the glass. The background is a soft scumbled grey-blue. On the brown table a few cut leaves lie to the left and a small dark blue cup sits to the right. Squarish at 105 by 100 centimetres, it is a calm, light-filled study of the flowers near their peak.
