A nude figure rests against the dark curve of a sofa, seen from behind, the back and one arm catching the warm light while the rest sinks into shadow. Shulman keeps the palette low and muted, deep aubergine and brown for the couch and floor, a soft cream wall behind.

The pose is loose and unguarded, the body half-turned away and slumped into the cushions. There is no detail to the room, just the heavy dark shape of the furniture and the bare figure on it. Mood No 12, oil on canvas, 60 by 70 centimetres, painted in 2022.
