A bald man in a pale tunic kneels and raises a hand in greeting to a large orange rooster, and the welcome is for its passengers: three little people stand happily on the bird's back, waving back at him. They meet in a warm yellow field with a few small trees along the horizon. Meeting Friends is an oil on paper from 2024, 30.5 by 23 centimetres. Roman Zuzuk draws it with soft outlines and a warm, sandy palette, the oversized rooster carrying its riders as if that were perfectly normal.
