A couple stand cheek to cheek against a glowing yellow ground, their two faces nearly merging into one. Behind their heads spreads a great round crown of dark green leaves studded with red dots like apples or berries, so the pair seem to grow out of a single tree. A row of dark grass runs along the bottom. Lovers is a small oil on canvas, 28 by 38 centimetres, made by Roman Zuzuk in 2025. The colour is warm and golden throughout, the two bodies simplified into one tender, embracing shape.
