London on a grey, misty morning. A man in a dark overcoat and a bowler-style hat strides toward us across a bridge, a briefcase in one hand, his face set and businesslike. Behind him a red double-decker bus and a smaller red bus loom out of the fog, with the pale outline of a Gothic tower and the Houses of Parliament dissolving into the blue-grey haze. Shulman keeps everything cool and damp except for those bright bus-red accents. Oil on canvas, 2017, a 70 by 70 centimetre square.
