Kuniko hangs on a single big red tree that leans out over a grassy hillside, its crown a mass of crimson leaves against a clear blue sky. A girl in a blue dress swings from a rope tied to a low branch, kicked out into the air, while loose petals drift down across the slope. The hill is green flecked with small red, and the whole picture rides on that one hot colour set against the cool sky. Dima Dmitriev painted it in oil in 2023, 110 by 90 centimetres.
