About the work

A nude woman stands with her head bowed, holding a handheld shower head against her body, its hose trailing down and off to the side. The skin is built from thin washes of grey, ochre and dull rose, and her face is left soft and shadowed under loosely brushed brown hair. In the Shower is a watercolour by Olga Vasilyeva from 2019, upright at 33 by 70 centimetres, with the figure set against open white paper.
