Get Set Go! scatters a dozen boys across a pale, textured ground, every one of them caught mid-stride in a flat-out run. They wear plain dark shorts and nothing else, their skin reddened, and each one throws a long blue-grey shadow that rakes across the canvas and ties the figures together. There is no track, no finish line, just the bare light-toned surface and the rhythm of running bodies. Dima Dmitriev painted it in oil in 2020, a wide panorama at 170 by 100 centimetres.
