Two unlikely companions meet against a flat blue sky. On the left a white hen with a red crest leans down towards a yellow fish that has been set on a pair of little red wheels, so it can roll along the ground beside her. Balanced on the fish's back is a tiny pink town with rooftops. A low green landscape runs across the bottom. Friends is an oil on paper from 2025, 30 by 23 centimetres. Roman Zuzuk paints it simply and warmly, the wheeled fish a typical bit of his gentle invention.
