Igor Shulman captured that quiet moment of waiting in this original oil on canvas from 2021. A woman stands alone by a large window, seen from behind with her hair tied up and wearing a simple dark dress that clings a little to her pregnant belly. Soft light pours in from outside, turning her into a gentle silhouette against the bright panes, while the cool blues and muted grays all around give the whole scene a calm, thoughtful feel full of gentle anticipation.
