Two men sit facing each other on low blue stools in a green field, leaning in close with their hands raised mid-gesture, clearly deep in talk. The joke is overhead: balanced on each man's head stands an animal, a brown horse on one and a black-and-white goat on the other, perfectly calm. The sky is a soft yellow with a few clouds. Roman Zuzuk painted Discussion in oil on canvas in 2004, 51 by 41 centimetres. The figures are dressed in pale grey, drawn with simple confident outlines, and the whole scene has his quiet deadpan humour.
