Against a flat field of bright orange-red, a man and a woman throw themselves into a dance. She is in a fitted dark dress and black high heels, hair swept up, one knee kicked high; he is in a dark suit with a pale blue shirt and sunglasses, knees bent and arms flung up mid-move. Shulman crops them close so the figures nearly fill the square, and the loose, slashing brushwork keeps everything in motion. Oil on canvas, 2017, 100 by 100 centimetres.
