About the artwork

A second take on the moonlit Lesser Town, very close to its companion but worked with a darker, grainier sky from the added aquatint. The full moon sits beside the fretted spire of the bridge tower, St Nicholas's dome rises at the left, and the same street lamp leans in from the foreground over lit houses and a few small figures. The Castle shows faintly at the right edge.

Alexandrov marks this one "EA", an artist's proof, and pencil-signs it below; inscribed "Praha, C3+C5", 2020. Roughly 21 by 14.5 centimetres.
