Charles Bridge seen across the Vltava at night, its long row of stone arches reflected in the dark water below. Behind it the Old Town skyline glows in warm ochres and golds, with the bridge tower, a domed church and several spires lit up against a deep blue-grey sky. A line of small lamps runs along the parapet, and their light breaks into shimmering streaks on the river. Slutsker lays the highlights on thickly with the knife, so the lit windows and reflections sit up as little ridges of paint. Oil on canvas, 70 by 45 centimetres, from 2025, with a couple of bare autumn trees framing the near bank.
