Cathedral takes the silhouette of St Vitus, all spires and flying buttresses, and grows it from a single tall, egg-shaped mound that rises out of a flat dark plain. Thin posts and a low fence dot the foreground. Worked in dense aquatint blacks against a near-black night sky, it has a strange, monumental stillness.
