A bunch of pale pink and cream roses crowded into a golden, urn-shaped vase. Slutsker keeps the background loose and neutral, mostly soft greys and greens, so all the attention falls on the flowers and the warm metallic glint of the vase. The petals are laid on with thick, buttery strokes of the palette knife, more suggestion than detail, and a few darker leaves push out at the sides. It is a small upright oil on canvas, 40 by 50 centimetres, painted in 2024 and signed in red at the lower left.
